Living Systems Proposals

Today in Living Systems class I heard a myriad of amazing proposals for class projects ranging from the practical to the futuristic.

Living Wall that monitors indoor environmental quality for gases and toxins (02, CO2, VOC) and relays that data to Pachube.com to visualize the long term effects of plants introduced into an artificial environment.

Moss graffiti deployed throughout the city embedded with teensy arduinos that create a map of pollution in the city over the day, month, season.

Monitoring the decay of trash or compost with sensors and possibly sonifying it.

Urban tree houses and green houses that can grow on both trees and artificial structures vestigially.

Flat pack modular gardens based upon the Ikea model of portability and ease of assembly.

Hydroponics Work Shop Saturdays in Brooklyn.

Cheese made from human milk.
