Marko Manriquez is a native to San Diego, currently residing in Boulder, Colorado. He graduated from UCSD in 2007 where he studied media and philosophy. He came to UCSD as a transfer student from San Diego City College and after working professionally as a Technical Director for KPBS, the local NPR affiliate. Veering across disciplines and mediums, Marko's video parodies are immediately accessible yet contentious. His work is informed by themes of identity politics, conspicuous consumption, and the commodification of brands in contemporary media.
